A pier is the principal structure of a leisure port. It is mainly a floating wooden-made walkway attached by piles anchored to the bottom of the sea used as a mooring to the leisure boats.

The pier has to resist to a horizontal force provoked by the tension of the moored boats, and another vertical force as a result of the persistent movement of users and freight.

Its resistance will depend on variables as length, width, type of profile and the elements of flotation of each pier, but certain markers are handled for the security limits: from 600 to 750 kg/ml in horizontally and from 150 to 400 kg/m2 vertically

The pier is made of a chassis and an upper pavement. The chassis is built by different marine 6005 A quality aluminum profiles aligned and welded with argon, a noble gas completely safe to the enviroment.

The pavement is ussualy built with high-density, water resistant and imperishable tropical wood. On the top we use polished wooden planks, aligned, slotted and attached with molding slip. This planks lay over big wooden piles which are attached to the lattice of the pier with special screws made of stainless steel.

For the construction of the chassis we provide you with a catalog which offers more than twenty patented profiles that suit any kind of pier.


All the unions are designed to absorb part of the energy generated either horizontally or vertically, they are also designed to give the structure stability in both directions. This way we get a solid and steady platform that doesn´t move horizontally along with the swell.

The modules of the piers, as the modules of the fingers, are united with rubber pads fixated with stainless self-blocking screws and nuts. That mechanism gives the piers the right elasticity so they won´t suffer unnecesary internal tensions.

Once the modules are assembled, they are set to piles nailed to the sea through clamps. This clamps are in turn equipped with rubber rollers so they allow the vertical movement on the pier, achieving this way a safe and non-erosive flotation.

The technical corridor of the pier is provided with an upper aluminum cover which gives access to the entire wiring system of the different services, so that allow technicians to easily access to that systems for maintenance tasks.

Otherwise,  the fact that we use this inlayed wiring system beautifies the port and avoids laboral accidents.

uses and applications

Pier applications and uses are many. This structures offer ilimitated possibilities in different projects either in rivers, seas, lakes or water reservoirs. Piers can be built for marinas and fishing ports, or touristic ports used for the transport of passengers. In fact, an example of the latter is the construction of piers in private houses and neighborhoods and sea view hotels.

Also, piers are used to build water-captation platforms on water reservoirs, as well as any other kind of sea or river exploitation, as fish farms and other natural reserves.
